Jonathan's Journey
My name is Jonathan Rubin and I am a student at Virginia Tech from Boston, Massachusetts. I started college in exercise and health science as a pre med student before switching to psychology and I am currently exploring sports analytics as either a major or minor because the intersection of data and combat sports is where my passion lives.
I have been a UFC fan for as long as I can remember but the moment that truly locked me in was watching Sean O'Malley knock out Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292. Sitting there watching that finish I fell completely in love with the sport on a different level and MassTechMMA was born from that moment.
Outside of building this brand I am constantly in the gym. Working out and bettering myself physically and mentally is a core part of who I am and something I take seriously every single day. One of my biggest goals for MassTechMMA is to eventually train alongside the fighters I interview, getting real workouts in with UFC and professional fighters and documenting it for genuine high quality YouTube content that goes beyond the interview format.
MassTechMMA is not just a content brand to me. It is the foundation of a career I am building from scratch as a student, one interview, one card breakdown, and one fight night at a time 😤🔥💯
